Not Everything We Did Was Right
But It Got Us Here
Every brand has a beginning.
Ours didn’t come with a rulebook. No grand plan. No ready-made formula. Just a handful of ideas, the will to start, and a team that believed something good would come out of trying.
We didn’t always get it right. But that’s also where the good stuff started.
We said yes too quickly.
To projects we should’ve paused on. To timelines we should’ve questioned. To ideas that looked great in a presentation but didn’t hold up in execution.
Like the time we agreed to a high-speed campaign with a two-day turnaround — before fully assessing what was needed. It led to late nights, rework, and a result that was… fine, but not us. It wasn’t a disaster, but it reminded us that excitement shouldn’t override alignment.
What we learned:Not everything urgent is important. And sometimes, saying no early saves everyone later.
We focused on output before alignment.
We’ve jumped into design before defining direction. We’ve written copy without anchoring the message. We’ve posted content that looked good, but didn’t say much.
What we learned: Without clarity, creativity floats. Strategy isn’t the step after the brainstorm. It’s the starting line.
We assumed people “got it.”
We thought clients understood the full scope. We thought our internal team was aligned. We thought the message was obvious.
One of our early projects hit a wall simply because the brief never reached the design team the way it was discussed. Everyone worked hard, but in slightly different directions. We had to step back, regroup, and rebuild the visual story from scratch.
What we learned:It never hurts to explain things twice. Overcommunication might feel redundant, but under communication is costly.
We got stuck in the loop of perfect.
Tweaking beyond timelines. Second-guessing ideas we were excited about just yesterday. Waiting to launch until everything felt “finished.” What we learned: Done teaches more than perfect ever could.
But we also did a few things right.
We showed up. We learned fast. We owned our mistakes – and worked harder the next time. And most importantly, we kept going.
Here’s the truth:
The way forward wasn’t always smooth. But it’s ours. And it’s honest. And if you ask us what we’d change? Maybe nothing.
Because even in our early stumbles, we built the foundation for what matters most today – a stronger branding story, sharper decisions in social media marketing, better systems for corporate video production, and a renewed respect for the power of clear, consistent collateral designs.
And that’s a direction we’re proud to keep walking in.
